Best coffee shops in Huntington?

First post here. We have two kids and The median home value here is around $118,800, which is actually reasonable. Crime rate is something to consider -Huntington sits at 722.5 per 100K. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Does this match your experience? The suburbs are where most families end up.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Cedar Grove area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The pet-friendliness is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Austin about 5 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are growing, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
