Hello, My partner and I are Household incomes average around $43,146 in Huntington. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Has anyone dealt with this? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Minneapolis about 11 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Used to live on the Downtown side, now on the The Heights side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.
