Considering Huntsville vs Charlotte — help me decide

Average temperature is around 63°F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $263,100, which seems about average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Maple Ridge. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in government. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
