Born and raised here. Homes are going for about $190,400 on average. It's a a small town city with about 6,891 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Anyone in a similar situation?

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Bought a house here in 2015 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

I've lived in Sunset for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The pet-friendliness scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
