How is the nightlife in Hurst?

Been meaning to ask this. Military spouse here. With a population of 39,912, Hurst is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $287,600, which seems about average. It's a a smaller city city with about 39,912 people. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Would love some local perspective. TIA! It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Maple Ridge. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in consulting. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Greenfield. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in government. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Hope this helps!.
