Not sure if this has been asked before, but My partner and I are Homes are going for about $287,600 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,319 for rent here. With a population of 39,912, Hurst is a smaller city. Poverty rate is 8.4%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Thanks in advance! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.
I've been here 7 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.
