What Hurst does better than anywhere else

Curious what people think. I'm single, late 20s, and Homes are going for about $287,600 on average. Poverty rate is 8.4%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 39,912 people. Rent is about $1,319/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks for reading. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I've lived in West for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- The pet-friendliness scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Midtown. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in consulting. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Definitely worth checking out..

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
- The dating scene scene is improving

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
