Curious what people think. I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $122,600 on average. You can expect to pay around $883 for rent here. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Worth the trade-offs? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Phoenix about 13 years ago. The main reasons were school and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are stable, gas is solid.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. No regrets on my end..
