Hey everyone, Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $507,400 on average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I've lived in Fairview for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
- The public transit scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Bought a house here in 2021 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone about the same since then.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The dating scene is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Austin about 15 years ago. The main reasons were school and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is pretty good.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in South. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like craft beer.
No regrets on my end..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in South for 2 years. Moved from Pittsburgh for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is hit or miss. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.
**Employment:**
consulting is strong here. marketing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is tough - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. South schools are hit or miss. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Rising rent and home prices. And food scene can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 7/10. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
