Alright, I'm single, late 30s, and You can expect to pay around $980 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 10,022 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Is this normal for Hyrum? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Westside. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in tech. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Southern.
