Ida Grove vs Memphis -which is better?

Been meaning to ask this. It's a a small town city with about 1,904 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cheers. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 14 years ago. The main reasons were family and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good airport with direct flights
- Diverse dining options
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.
