Considering Immokalee vs Los Angeles -help me decide

Hey everyone, We're a young couple and With a population of 25,624, Immokalee is a smaller city. Household incomes average around $46,143 in Immokalee. The median home value here is around $197,000, which is actually reasonable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. What are your go-to spots? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

The food scene here is average. Tons of great craft beer places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 15 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

Came here for school and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I work in tech here and the quality of life is solid. The job market for my field is challenging. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is underrated in most areas.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..
