Longtime lurker here, Rent is about $1,396/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Is this normal for Imperial? TIA! Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in North. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in consulting. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like Korean.
