Cost of living reality check -Independence

Anyone else feel this way? My family moved here when I was a kid. Poverty rate is 5.4%, which is pretty low. Thoughts?

Hot take but the quality of life is solid. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.
