What's it really like living in Independence?

With a population of 122K, Independence is a mid-size city. Homes are going for about $166,400 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What would you do? Thanks for reading. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
