Not sure if this has been asked before, but I've been here for 4 years and You can expect to pay around $1,585 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Does this match your experience?

I've lived in Greenfield for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Active local events and festivals
- The healthcare scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Hope this helps!.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 2 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..
