Independent Hill is underrated, change my mind

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm retired and It's a a small town city with about 10,217 people. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Would love some local perspective. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Strong sense of community
- The community vibe scene is tough

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Good luck with whatever you decide..
