Random thought, My family moved here when I was a kid. Median household income is $84,898, which feels pretty solid for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,326 for rent here. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 12 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is hit or miss.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Fairview. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
Definitely worth checking out..
