I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in East. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in tech. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Definitely worth checking out..

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The cost of living is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
