What to expect moving to Indianola?

Military spouse here. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. The median home value here is around $228,100, which is actually reasonable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Has anyone dealt with this? Any help is appreciated.

I work in retail here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is better than expected. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Pine Hills. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in engineering. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Definitely worth checking out..

Bought a house here in 2018 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
