Starting a business in Indiantown?

Hi all, Poverty rate is 23.8%, which is higher than I expected. It's a a small town city with about 6,646 people. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. Does this match your experience? Any help is appreciated. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 9 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Meadowbrook side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely average and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Highland) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Denver it's challenging.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely excellent and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Westside) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

Bought a house here in 2016 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone about the same since then.

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The pet-friendliness is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..
