Is Inglewood good for remote workers?

Hey folks, I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $744,300, which is pretty steep. Homes are going for about $744,300 on average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thoughts?

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in West for 11 years. Moved from Denver for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
retail is strong here. manufacturing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is solid - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. West schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Chain restaurants dominate. Homeless population growing downtown. And cost of living can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 6/10. Happy to answer more specific questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The outdoor recreation is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- The job market scene is improving

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I work in tech here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is tough. Good luck with whatever you decide..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is average in most areas.
