Anyone else noticing rent going up fast in Inglewood? Over the last year, I feel like prices went up at least 10-15%. I'm paying $1725 for a 2BR which feels okay for the area.
Are there any neighborhoods that are still affordable? Thinking about moving to a cheaper area.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is check out the local Facebook groups for neighborhood info. Makes a big difference.

Downtown is overrated and overpriced. The suburbs offer way better value.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

The job market has been improving lately. Several healthcare companies moved in recently.

I work in retail and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 3 months.

I've lived in University District for 9 years and it's still one of the best decisions I made.

Respectfully disagree about the safety concerns. In my experience, it really depends on your lifestyle.

Good summary. I'd rate it higher personally — maybe 6/10.

Coming from LA, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are slightly more expensive but housing makes up for it.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Oakwood. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

If you can afford it, Cedar Hills is the best place to live. Period.
