Cheapest neighborhoods in Inkster?

Hello, Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Appreciate any input. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Austin it's surprisingly good.

Bought a house here in 2023 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Westside for 5 years. Moved from Austin for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is underrated. We bought in 2023 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
education is strong here. finance is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
the quality of life is solid. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Westside schools are tough. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Homeless population growing downtown. Limited entertainment options. And safety can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 8/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
