Living in Inniswold -the reality

Curious what people think. We have two kids and Household incomes average around $101,149 in Inniswold. Homes are going for about $323,300 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Is this normal for Inniswold? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 3 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Uptown for 15 years. Moved from Baltimore for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is decent. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
finance is strong here. hospitality is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor scene is hit or miss - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Uptown schools are solid. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Rising rent and home prices. Urban sprawl is real. And walkability can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 9/10. Feel free to reach out with questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
