OK so I grew up here but left for a while. You can expect to pay around $1,104 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 1,506 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Intercourse sits at 36.9 per 100K. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Thoughts? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Moved here from Denver about 11 years ago. I have mixed feelings honestly. Still getting used to public transit but Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Diverse dining options
- The dating scene scene is improving
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Winters are long and cold
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely underrated and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
