Hey, We're a young couple and It's a a small town city with about 7,672 people. Homes are going for about $168,100 on average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Springfield. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in tech. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
