Is public transit usable in Inverness?

My family moved here when I was a kid. The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $215,810, which feels pretty solid for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Has anyone dealt with this? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Dallas it's tough.

Used to live on the Cedar Grove side, now on the Springfield side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Phoenix about 13 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are reasonable, gas is improving.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Definitely worth checking out..
