Moving to Inverness with kids -good idea?

Longtime lurker here, Rent is about $3,501/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $704,100 on average. The median home value here is around $704,100, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Has anyone dealt with this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
