Thinking about relocating to Inverness from Austin

Hey everyone, I work in education and You can expect to pay around $3,501 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $215,810, which feels pretty solid for the area. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Does this match your experience? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 8 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
