Hi all, We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -Iona sits at 143.4 per 100K. Poverty rate is 4.8%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I overthinking this? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Riverside. It's underrated for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in retail. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like Indian.
