Worst things about Iona nobody talks about

OK so My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $295,700, which seems about average. It's a a small town city with about 14,290 people. Rent is about $1,908/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Tampa about 5 years ago. The main reasons were weather and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are pricey, gas is pretty good.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
