Thinking about relocating to Irondale from Sacramento

Hello, I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $250,000 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Would love some local perspective. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The pet-friendliness is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
