Job market in Irondale for tech?

Curious what people think. Just moved here 18 months ago and The median home value here is around $186,700, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $61,454 in Irondale. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Would love some local perspective. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The school system is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Midtown. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Definitely worth checking out..
