Irondequoit housing prices -when will it stop?

Random thought, The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $76,871, which feels about average for the area. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is pretty good in most areas.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely solid and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Midtown) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
