Irondequoit in the winter -how bad?

Curious what people think. The median home value here is around $169,000, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 50,438, Irondequoit is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,110/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $169,000 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Bought a house here in 2022 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
