Hello, I'm retired and With a population of 50,438, Irondequoit is a smaller city. It's a a smaller city city with about 50,438 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Irondequoit sits at 839.1 per 100K. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I overthinking this? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.
