OK so It's a a small town city with about 5,506 people. Average temperature is around 75--F, so it's warm year-round. Median household income is $107,449, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Anyone in a similar situation? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much growing but now it's solid.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Tampa it's decent.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.
I've been here 3 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
