Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm originally from Salt Lake City and Median household income is $79,641, which feels about average for the area. It's a a mid-size city city with about 255K people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I overthinking this? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up.
