Irving is underrated, change my mind

Crime rate is something to consider — Irving sits at 251.4 per 100K. Median household income is $79,641, which feels about average for the area. Poverty rate is 8.5%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Pros:
- Low taxes
- Lots of new development
- Active local events

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Rising rent prices
- Limited nightlife
- Sprawl everywhere
- Mosquitoes and humidity
Does this match your experience? Thanks! The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much manageable but now it's tough.
