Not sure if this has been asked before, but My family moved here when I was a kid. You can expect to pay around $1,517 for rent here. The median home value here is around $287,300, which seems about average. Average temperature is around 69°F, so the weather is moderate. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Thanks in advance! The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

Moved here from Denver about 1 years ago. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Still getting used to cultural scene but Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Lakewood. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in finance. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
Feel free to reach out with questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
