Average temperature is around 78--F, so it's warm year-round. Rent is about $586/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Old Town area are solid. Kids love it here.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The job market is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in South for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Close to major attractions
- The cultural scene scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much growing but now it's excellent.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I'm a teacher and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.
