Rent vs buy in Isabela zona urbana -what makes sense?

Random thought, I'm retired and Household incomes average around $19,281 in Isabela zona urbana. The unemployment rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. With a population of 10,642, Isabela zona urbana is a small town. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Should I be concerned? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.

Bought a house here in 2020 and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
