Alright, Poverty rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 8,023 people. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Should I be concerned? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Oak Park. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in legal. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2016 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
