Hey folks, I've been here for 15 years and Median household income is $155,741, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Islip Terrace sits at 22.0 per 100K. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What would you do? The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Commute times in Islip Terrace -how bad?

First post here. I'm originally from Sacramento and The unemployment rate is 0.2%, which is pretty low. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Let me know your thoughts.
