Top 5 things I love about Issaquah

I'm retired and Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $2,484/month for a decent place. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What neighborhoods would you suggest? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Uptown. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in consulting. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Korean.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
