Studio apartments in Itasca -options?

We're a young couple and Household incomes average around $111,898 in Itasca. Median household income is $111,898, which feels pretty solid for the area. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Should I be concerned? Cheers. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a chef, 57, moved here 7 years ago from Tampa. I've lived in Eastside and Uptown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Growing food and restaurant scene
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally decent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Summers can be brutally hot
2. Road conditions need improvement
3. The weather situation is reasonable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Eastside: Great for singles. decent vibes, walkable.
- Uptown: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Tampa, everything felt better than expected. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is established. You can live comfortably on $60K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
No regrets on my end.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I've lived in Fairview for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
- The cost of living scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Happy to answer more specific questions..

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Lakewood area are improving. Kids love it here.

Came here for family and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The school system is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Highland for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
- The nightlife scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
