Best coffee shops in Ithaca?

Hello, Just moved here 3 months ago and Crime rate is something to consider -Ithaca sits at 131.7 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 31,792 people. Average temperature is around 45--F, so expect cold winters. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I wrong here? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is underrated in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 14 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
