Best hidden gems in Ithaca

Curious what people think. I'm a 42-year-old software engineer and Average temperature is around 45--F, so expect cold winters. You can expect to pay around $1,441 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 9.1%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $48,617 in Ithaca. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Low taxes
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Limited dining options
- Boring for young people
- Poor road conditions
- Limited cultural events
- Homelessness issues downtown

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Tampa it's average.
