What to expect moving to Ithaca?

Just moved here 4 months ago and Crime rate is something to consider -Ithaca sits at 131.7 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Thoughts? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The cultural scene is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..
